Medicube Deep Vita C Capsule Cream Review: Is It Worth Trying?

Finding a vitamin C product that is both effective and comfortable to use can be difficult. Because I already use vitamin C regularly—and only tested this cream for several days—I did not expect a dramatic improvement in pigmentation or texture. However, I fell in love with its rich feel, fresh citrus scent and the glow it gave my skin.

Formula and Texture

The first thing you notice is the unusual texture: yellow capsules suspended in a transparent gel. Using the small spatula included in the jar, I pick up one capsule with a little gel. This is enough for my face, neck and décolletage.

Mix the capsule and gel between your fingers before applying the cream.

The formula contains sea buckthorn water, 5% niacinamide, pure vitamin C and several vitamin C derivatives. It also includes ferulic acid, vitamin E and coenzyme Q10 for additional antioxidant support.

The capsules are designed to protect the ingredients until application. You can also adjust the texture by using more gel for a lighter finish or more capsules for a richer one.

When I first opened the jar, I was mesmerized. The capsules made the product feel both practical and luxurious.

According to Medicube’s own clinical testing, the product improved the appearance of freckles, uneven skin tone and radiance. As always, brand-funded results may not reflect how the product performs on everyone’s skin.

The main drawback for me is the sticky finish. I prefer to apply another moisturizer on top, as the cream does not feel quite nourishing enough on its own. Despite its rich texture, my combination skin over 40 needs a little more moisture.

I dropped my jar once, so the texture is upside down in this photo. But I think you can see it.

Who Is It Best For?

This cream may suit normal, combination or dry skin that needs brightening support. It could also appeal to anyone who finds traditional vitamin C serums too drying.

Very oily or congestion-prone skin may find it too rich, especially during warmer months. Although it may feel gentler than some pure vitamin C serums, sensitive skin should still introduce it gradually.

I did not experience tingling, redness, clogged pores or breakouts. My skin felt slightly tight but still looked nourished, refreshed and glowing. This surprised me because some K-beauty products I have previously tried felt too harsh for my combination skin over 40.

How to Use It

Apply the cream after cleansing. If you use a toner or serum, apply those first—but they are not essential.

Mix a small amount of gel with one capsule between your fingers, then massage the mixture over your face and neck.

Start with a small amount, as using too much may make the finish even stickier. If you apply it in the morning, follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen, especially when treating pigmentation.

Vitamin C does not automatically make the skin photosensitive, and it does not always need to be separated from retinoids. However, sensitive skin may find it more comfortable to use vitamin C in the morning and retinoids at night.

Final Thoughts

Medicube Deep Vita C Capsule Cream (Affiliate link https://go.shopmy.us/p-81129048 ) gave my skin a fresh, visible glow without causing irritation or breakouts. At approximately €23 for 55 g, it offers good value if you enjoy brightening skincare and a rich, dewy finish.

Its main weakness is its stickiness, and it may not provide enough moisture to serve as my final skincare step. I think it will work best on cooler summer days, in autumn and in winter, although very oily skin may still find it too rich.

I would definitely repurchase it. I would especially recommend it to women whose skin looks dull or tired and who want a gentle introduction to vitamin C skincare.
