Why I Love Lisa Eldridge Seamless Skin Highlighter

Hi, Violet Gang!
My makeup routine is pretty stripped back, but Lisa Eldridge’s Elevated Glow in Crystal Nebula has earned a permanent spot. It does two things that make a real difference: after a few minutes, it forms a subtle lifting film on the skin, and it gives a glow without a single speck of glitter. Just smooth, lit-up skin that looks like mine—only better.
In this review, I’ll break down what Crystal Nebula is like to use—its texture, how it wears throughout the day, the kind of finish it gives, and how it performs overall. I’ll also discuss who I think it actually works for and who might want to skip it.
First Impressions & Packaging
The product comes in a weighty glass bottle with a dropper applicator—definitely feels more high-end than most liquid highlighters. The design is sleek, minimal, and in line with the rest of Lisa Eldridge’s line.
When I first swatched it, the texture caught my attention right away. It’s fluid but not runny, and it blends out easily without disappearing. On the skin, it gives a soft glow—no shimmer chunks, no stickiness, just a smooth, almost skincare-like finish. This cruelty-free product is Vegan and free from Parabens, Talc, Fragrance, Gluten, Nylon 12, D6 and D5.
Shade Focus: Crystal Nebula
A light, star-kissed champagne shade that beautifully complements light skin tones
Skincare-grade liquid highlighter that delivers a beautiful, natural glow alongside high-performance skin benefits
Elevated Glow Highlighter is designed to add an amplified, luminous glow to the high points of the face, while simultaneously delivering serious skin benefits and a subtle lifting, tightening, and smoothing effect.
The other shades are Pink Moon, Solar Light, Cosmic Rose and Celestial Fire. Crystal Nebula is the most natural one in my opinion. Learn more about the other shades from Lisa Eldridge’s website.
Application & Texture
It is serum-like but not runny or too thick—just perfect texture. Before use, I shake the bottle because I think the formula separates. Or maybe it’s a sign I need a new one. It contains 13 ml of highlighter and has a shelf life of 12 months.
I usually just dot it to the high points of my face: cheekbones, plus under the brow, bridge of the nose, upper lip and chin. I use fingers for application, which is a very common way for me to do makeup anyway. It works like a dream with skincare and under makeup because it has this special hero ingredient called Filmexel. FILMEXEL® - a brilliantly clever biopolymer network that, on contact with the skin, forms a resistant and flexible mesh. Three minutes after application, the skin is visibly sculpted and smoothed, with a subtle, lifted, and tightened effect.
Finish & Wear Time
I find the Elevated Glow highlighter very long-wearing, and it gives a chic and natural glass-skin finish.
I think, if you have oily skin, this product might not be as long-wearing as it is for other skin types. But I believe, if you don’t put much skincare underneath, just SPF 50 obviously *wink, it will work on oily skin as well in the summer. In other seasons, a light moisturiser underneath will be enough.
Who It’s For (and Not For)
Best for minimalists or glow-lovers. Might not suit someone looking for high-beam intensity or ultra-matte looks.
Final Thoughts & Recommendation
Would I repurchase? Absolutely. Ideal for daily wear, soft glam, and bridal skin.
I give this product 5/5.✨
