My recent posts have been quite information-heavy (especially the neurocosmetics one), so today I wanted to share something a little lighter: a review of one of the cleansers currently in my skincare cabinet.
The product is Lisa Eldridge’s Seamless Skin Skin Enhancing Treatment Cleanser. What makes this cleanser interesting is that it can also be used as a short treatment mask. You can leave it on the skin for a few minutes to allow the conditioning ingredients to work while you cleanse away the day. I haven’t come across many cleansers designed to work this way, so it immediately caught my attention.
In fact, I’ve gone through so many tubes that I’ve lost count.
The Lisa Eldridge Seamless Skin Enhancing Treatment Cleanser launched in April 2023. Let’s take a closer look at how it performs.
My Skin Type
For reference, my skin is combination and prone to dehydration. I tend to look for cleansers that remove makeup well but don’t leave my skin feeling tight or stripped, as dehydration can make my skin feel uncomfortable quite quickly.
What Is the Seamless Skin Skin Enhancing Treatment Cleanser?
The Lisa Eldridge Skin Enhancing Treatment Cleanser is a gentle facial cleanser designed to remove long-wearing makeup, waterproof sunscreen, and daily impurities without stripping the skin.
Unlike harsher foaming cleansers, this formula focuses on maintaining the skin’s natural moisture barrier. It aims to cleanse thoroughly while leaving the skin feeling soft and comfortable.
Because of its balanced formulation, the cleanser is suitable for several skin types, including normal, dry, and sensitive skin.
According to Lisa Eldridge’s website, results from a user survey showed:
After one use:
93% of participants said their skin felt softer and smoother
88% said their skin felt refreshingly clean
93% enjoyed the feel of the cleanser on their skin
After two weeks:
83% said their skin looked more radiant
87% said their skin felt hydrated
80% said their skin appeared more glowing
82% felt their skin barrier seemed strengthened and protected

Texture and Packaging
The first thing I noticed about this cleanser was its texture. It has a balm-to-oil-to-milk consistency, which is one of my favourite textures for cleansers.
The product starts as a see-through balm gel. Once massaged onto dry skin, it spreads easily and feels more balmy than oily. When water is added, it emulsifies into a soft milky texture that rinses away comfortably.
A blueberry-sized amount is usually enough for the whole face.
Compared with some balm cleansers I’ve tried, such as Mousse’s balm-to-milk cleanser, this one feels slightly lighter and less greasy on the skin, while still melting makeup effectively.
Like the rest of the Lisa Eldridge range, the cleanser comes in a minimal, elegant tube that feels both practical and refined.
The formula is fragrance-free, which is ideal for people who prefer skincare without added scent.
It is also cruelty-free and vegan, and the formula has been clinically tested for all skin types.
How Well Does It Remove Makeup?
One of the most important tests for any cleanser is how effectively it removes makeup.
The Lisa Eldridge cleanser performs very well at dissolving foundation, concealer, waterproof sunscreen, and everyday makeup. The balm-gel texture spreads easily across the skin and helps break down product without needing to rub or tug.
I usually use this cleanser in the evening to remove sunscreen and makeup. I massage it onto dry skin first, then add a little water to emulsify it before rinsing.
In the morning, I use a small amount to cleanse my neck.
When I add water, the cleanser emulsifies nicely and rinses away cleanly, leaving no heavy residue.
For a very stubborn waterproof mascara, you may still prefer using a dedicated eye makeup remover first. However, for most daily makeup routines, this cleanser performs very well.
As mentioned earlier, the cleanser can also be left on the skin for a few minutes and used as a quick treatment mask.
How Skin Feels After Cleansing
Many cleansers leave the skin feeling tight or dry after rinsing. This can sometimes indicate that the skin barrier has been stripped.
The Lisa Eldridge cleanser completely avoids this feeling.
After cleansing, the skin feels:
Soft
Comfortable
Lightly hydrated
Clean without feeling tight
Because my skin is prone to dehydration, I’m usually quite sensitive to cleansers that strip it. This one generally feels very comfortable, though during the winter months, I sometimes find that double cleansing can leave my skin slightly drier. A good serum and moisturiser afterwards usually solves that easily.
Compared with gel cleansers like the Skin Rocks Gel Cleanser, this formula feels a bit more cushioning and nourishing on the skin.
Who Should Try the Lisa Eldridge Cleanser?
This cleanser may be a good option if you:
Wear makeup and SPF regularly
Have sensitive or dry skin
Prefer gentle skincare formulas
Want a cleanser that cleans thoroughly without stripping the skin
It can also work well as part of a double-cleansing routine, since it functions effectively as either a first or a second cleanse.
Price and Value
One factor to consider is the price. The Lisa Eldridge cleanser falls into the luxury skincare category, meaning it costs more than many drugstore cleansers.
However, the texture, formulation, and overall experience feel carefully developed. For people who value well-formulated skincare and a gentle cleansing experience, it may feel worth the investment.
Pros and Cons
Pros
Gentle, non-stripping formula
Removes makeup effectively
Suitable for sensitive skin
Elegant packaging
Can be used as a mask
Cons
Higher price compared with many cleansers
Final Verdict: Is the Lisa Eldridge Cleanser Worth Buying?
Overall, the Lisa Eldridge Seamless Skin Skin Enhancing Treatment Cleanser offers a gentle but effective cleansing experience.
It removes makeup well, feels comfortable on the skin, and avoids the tightness that some cleansers can cause. The formula also reflects Lisa Eldridge’s philosophy that good makeup begins with healthy, well-cared-for skin.
Would I repurchase it?
Yes. Considering how many tubes I’ve already gone through, it’s clearly a cleanser I enjoy using and continue to reach for in my routine.
